Vanuatu Diving - Ratua Private Island

Location
Located in the Vanuatu Archipelago, Ratua is just a 30-minute motorboat journey from Espiritu Santo airport on our own private launch.

The weather is generally pleasant as two much larger islands protect it–Aore to the north and Malo to the south.

Accommodation
Accommodation on Ratua comprises stunning Indonesian style guest villas; these 200 year-old homes were transported and reconstructed on Ratua, carefully sited to provide stunning views and private deck or beach. Each villa features eclectic, vintage furnishings, ensuite bathroom, bath products and robes, bar refrigerator, ceiling fans, in-room safe, private terraces, sun lounges, beach towels and access the surrounding ocean. The 15 villas are located in three separate "villages" - Fish Village, South Point Village and West Point Village.

Dining & Entertainment
Dine in style at the Yacht Club, where the chef prepares an inspired menu using organic produce and local meats and seafood. Ratua’s wine cellar offers a fine selection of wines from around the world, including Australian, New Zealand and French vintages.

A casual beach barbecue or relaxed but stylish picnic on a nearby deserted white sand beach can also be enjoyed.

Activities
Explore the lush tropical acres of Ratua by trek, buggy, bicycle, horse-pulled carriage or horseback. Over 15 horses roam free on the island so let a wrangler saddle up one for you to enjoy a ride around the 60 hectare island or through the shallow waters along the beach.

Fishing
Ratua offers phenomenal game fishing, from day charters, to week-long on board adventures. Access rare fishing grounds, pristine reef systems, underwater sea mounts, and remote volcanic islands. These trips also give you the opportunity to venture into local villages untouched by western influences.
